Josh Lee Hamilton is an indie folk and roots singer-songwriter from the Northern Rivers of NSW, Australia. Known for his smooth and warm sound he endears the listener with his honest and heartfelt songs that tell stories of love, struggle and faith. Overall there is a sense of optimism as you listen to his music, while his songs authentically navigates troubles and challenges from his own story.

Josh’s diverse palate of musical influences over the years, have all contributed to the crafting of his unique sound and songwriting. Similarly his music invokes references to a variety of artists such as Ben Howard, Gregory Alan Isakov, Ryan Adams, Paper Kites and Vance Joy.

When you listen to this song you can totally hear that surfer-guitarist vibe come through, but before that thought is complete, those vocals trickle in and give you full body shivers”

Josh’s accolades so far as an independent musician, include being a feature artist on Triple J Unearthed, Triple J radio play, winning the 2017 and 2019 NCEIA Dolphin Awards for “Best Songwriter” and for “Best Alternate/Indie Song”, performing at festivals such as “Splendour in the Grass” and playing support for renowned artists such as Garrett Kato, Caravana Sun and Tay Oskee.

In the midst of a new season of being a father Josh has been slowly crafting new songs over the last year. His upcoming single  “Feels Like Fire” will be coming out in January 2022, and will be followed by a debut album.
